National and International Network Exchange
	An Upper School exchange program between the Sacred Heart schools in the United States and an international exchange program provide students with the opportunity to meet and learn from students of different regions and cultural backgrounds. Students may choose to travel to France, Spain, or another American Sacred Heart School. 	National Exchange Program
	The National Exchange Program gives students at Newton the chance to spend an academic quarter at any of the other twenty-one schools that are part of the Network of Sacred Heart Schools in the United States. In recent years, students have chosen to study at Network schools in Chicago, Miami, New Orleans, New York City, Omaha, San Francisco, and Seattle. Students participating in the program live with a Sacred Heart family, study, and travel. Newton Country Day School and its families annually host students participating in this exchange, enabling all members of the Newton Country Day School community to learn from this unique educational opportunity, and to begin to see and appreciate their home city from a new perspective. As one exchange student from Stone Ridge (Bethesda, MD) declared, "I loved meeting new people and seeing a new area of the country. My exchange went by too fast. I feel I've been a part of this community for a much longer time, and I'll miss the people I met." Recent exchange students have come from the Sacred Heart Schools across the country, from Seattle, Bethesda, Omaha, Houston and Chicago.

	International Exchange Program
	The international program for Upper School students partners with the Colegio Sagrado Corazon in Barcelona, Spain, and the Lycée Privé du Sacré-Coeur and the Institution de Marmoutier in Amiens and Tours, both in France. Newton students spend the two-week spring break living with host families and immersed in Spanish and French language and culture. Students attend classes at the sister schools and, with their host families, travel around the region, visiting chateaux and monuments, amusement parks, museums, cathedrals and other sites.
